2020 SF Decorator Showcase

MurphyMcKenna was pleased to have participated in the 43rd annual San Francisco Decorator Showcase. The show-house located inside a Mediterranean-style home in West Clay Park near Sea Cliff and the Presidio, is a sprawling 6,500 sq. ft mansion. Completed in 1928 and inspired by nineteenth century english gardens, the home is a stunning early example of San Francisco’s rich urban development. Designed by architect William Topeka, the estate was modeled after Presidio Terrace, an extremely affluent master-planned community and the first of its kind.

Each of the 27 assigned spaces were meticulously transformed by some of San Francisco’s most well known interior and landscape designers. While working closely with Adele Salierno of Studio Ku, MurphyMcKenna also collaborated with a very talented group of artists and tradesmen to bring a rich cohesiveness to the modern and minimalist space. Located beneath a curving staircase, the design capitalized on the unique, but somewhat limited space. Utilizing the J-shaped footprint of the room, the toilet was discreetly placed out of view from the hallway and foyer.
